I am a professionally qualified art psychotherapist based in Dublin and an elected council member and of The Executive Council of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT). I hold a First Class Honours Masters Degree in Art Therapy from the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork. I previously hold an Honours Degree in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and a Foundation Certificate in Art Therapy.

I hold the position of Art Therapist for the National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght where I coordinate the children's arts and health programme and have established a medical art therapy service to help children address the psychosocial issues associated with chronic illness. I also work as School Art Therapist for Mercy Secondary School, Inchicore and facilitate art therapy with children in State Care on a sessional basis for Tusla: The Child and Family Agency.

I have facilitated research-based community art therapy support groups for adults with chronic pain in collaboration with The National Centre For Arts and Health and Chronic Pain Ireland.

My experience as an art therapist includes work with adults with mental health issues, and with chronic long-term illness; and with children and adolescents in mental health, education and healthcare settings with issues such as attachment disorders, ADHD, self-esteem, anger, anxiety and psychosocial issues. I have a particular interest in the areas of attachment, trauma and loss.
